Tips to make lipstick stay on longer
Lipstick is one of the items that most women carry. Many lipstick colors to choose, from red, brown, purple, natural or known as nude color, even some unique colors such as black, silver, blue, green for special event.
Sometimes, I get annoyed with lipstick that fades away easily which makes me doing the re-touching several times.
A question is whether I apply the lipstick not in the correct way or perhaps, the lipstick quality is not too good.
After several trial, I finally find a way to make lipstick stay on longer.
The steps are very simple and easy to follow,
- Make sure you have clean lips. You can try to use a cleansing oil specially for lips to properly clean.
- Choose your favorite lipstick and apply on the lips (This is Applied One).
- Prepare a sheet of tissue. It is better to use face tissues because the material is smoother.
- Put the tissue between your lips and press your lips on the tissue to create the lip-shaped drawing. This will remove some excess lipstick and leave you with enough lipstick layer to stay on.
- Apply again your favorite lipstick on the lips (This is Applied Two).
- Repeat the process as mentioned in Point 4.
- Finally, set your color by applying a little bit more lipstick. Do not put on too many so it will not look cakey.
For Applied One (Point 2) and Applied Two (Point 5), you can actually use different lipstick color.
Like for me, I will use brownies red color for Applied One, then use orange red for Applied Two, afterwards, finish off with a touch of blood red lipstick color. By doing this, I will have unique red lipstick color.
To make the lips more appealing, I will also use a pencil lipstick to work on my lip shape. You don’t necessarily need to use the same pencil lipstick color as your lipstick. You can also use more softer or stronger pencil lipstick color depending on your preference and what dramatic look you want to create.
Finally, apply enough lip balm to moist your lips or lip gloss to make the lips glossy.
