What does a flower bouquet mean?

A flower bouquet is a bunch of beautiful flowers that are picked and tied together in an attractive way and has a distinctive and special fragrance.

Bouquet can be designed in various ways depending on the occasions, which are hand bouquet, table bouquet and standing bouquet.

I guess it’s no longer a secret that hand bouquet is often used on weddings, engagement, valentine as well as any occasions related to love and care.  How romantic it will be if someone you love make a proposal to you and present you with a bunch of beautifully created bouquet with your favorite flowers.

How about table bouquet and standing bouquet? These are generally provided on birthday, corporate event and a way to congratulate a success and a happiness.

There are many flowers available to choose for bouquet design.  I have had a fruitful discussion with my best friend, Dian who has been involved in flowers business for years on what type of flowers best fit to choose for bouquet design.

In this writing, I will elaborate 5 different types of flowers commonly used for bouquet design.

1. Roses

Who doesn’t like roses that come with many types, sizes as well as colors?  Roses can be found in several areas in Indonesia, such as, Bandung, Sukabumi, Lembang and Cianjur.  While for imported roses, they usually come from New Zealand and Vietnam and are only available by order with time frame for delivery.

Roses price will be varied depending on type, size, color, as well as is it a local or imported product. The price will range starting from IDR 5K per stem.

2. Casablanca

Casablanca is an imported flower which come from Europe and Asia countries.  Because of imported product, then the price is considered high starting from IDR 50K per stem depending on the type and character of the flower.

There are variety of colors from pink, yellow, white and red to pick and select adding together with roses to mix and match.

Many people fond Casablanca flower because of its nice fragrance spreads as well as the eye-catching gigantic size of flower.

3. Lily

Spectacular white lily is planted locally which has a reasonable price range from IDR 7K per stem whether it is a flower bud or already blossom.  Although white lily does not have a fragrance, but many people adores this flower because of its pretty look.

White lily has been known since the earlier times and still famous until present, although many young generations will prefer to choose roses or Casablanca.

4. Carnation

The various color of white, red and pink of carnation flower, be it flower bud or blossom will be a wonderful addition in a bouquet of roses, casablanca or white lily.

The price will range starting from IDR 35K in a bunch depending on the origin either local or imported flower as well as the availability in the market.

5. Baby’s breath

The small white bloom of baby’s breath creates a fresh flowery look perfect addition to a beautiful bouquet of roses, casablanca or white lily.

Price range starting from IDR 50K per stem consisting of several flower branches in a stem. So, taking one or two stems of baby’s breath will be sufficient as a nice addition to the bouquet.

Besides the 5 different types of flowers mentioned here, you can also mix and match with other flowers that you like as long as the end result will look tempting and gorgeous.
